Saturday's Drive to Nevada

Today we did something a little different. We had hoped to go fishing, but that will have to wait. Utah had such a good winter that very few of the streams or lakes are accessible. In fact, most of them are still frozen or there is still several feet of snow on the ground; and the lower streams are running too fast to fish. Instead we took a scenic drive to Nevada. It was a fun way to spend the day!

Modena, Utah . . . I imagine years ago when traveling by train was the way to go, this place was probably hopping

This is what's left of the old B.J. Lund & Co. Hotel & Store

Pioche, Nevada . . . reminded us of Jerome, AZ . . . the town was bustling with people

1946 was the year our house was built

The Old Million Dollar Court House

The sign says it all

The tram

Miller Point Overlook Trail Cathedral Gorge State Park

It didn't look that scary to me

Interesting place out amongst the hay farms

You could hike quite a ways from here
